Front Line Duty (Circa 1989)

Kyaw Kyaw Oo took my picture below. He lived on ThaHton road near my house on University Ave. He was the photographer of the mission. I believe Bertil still has a lot of those photos and I would be thrilled to get some of those.

I was a medic for my platoon. Each round of operations lasted about 4-5 months. We only had about 30 guns including a few RPGs and M79 launchers. There were over 100 fighters in my camp. So, we had to rotate and guns always stay at the front line.
