The village was abandoned due to heavy fighting between Mon and Karen rebels. We just picked a livable building and stayed. There were still a lot of unexploded ordinance around there. We had to burn bushes in the surrounding areas first before we settled. Fire usually took care of those. We just had to make sure to stay away.
