I write this blog for my children Esther, Andrew and Elliott with my wife's support. This is the story of their father and his continuing struggle for freedom in Burma. I also want to let the world know about the stories of my friends who died in the Burmese jungle and prisons while fighting for freedom in Burma.
"First signboard of ABSDF created by Ko Hlaing Bwarr" This is the beginning of ABSDF 102. Battalion numbers were not formally assigned to us at that point. The camp was located in the jungle inside Thailand. We were foreced out by Thai border patrol police in 4-5 months.
It was me the center (school bag). Saya Nyo Hmine in the back ground. He was a sergeant in the Burmese army when he joined the 8.8.88 people's uprising. He resettled in the US and passed away several years ago. This picture was taken on 8.8.89 in Three Pagoda Pass. We were attending the 1st anniversary of 8.8.88.

Ko Thiri (left) and Ko Tin Soe Naung. Ko Tin Soe Naung was the chairman of ABSDF 101 camp, Three Pagoda Pass. Our sister camp. Both of them were engineering students at (RIT). Ko Tin Soe Naung was from Mudon. He was a prominent student leader there during the 8.8.88 uprising. He passed away several years ago in Sangkhlaburi. This picture was taken in Nat Ein Taung (Circa 1991).
Ko Thiri and Moon Aung, both are famous singers of our time. Both are proud members of ABSDF 102. This picture was taken at in Manerplaw Headquarter (1991). Ko Moon Aung resettles in Norway and Ko Thiri resettles in the US. He is currently working as a Computer Software Engineer, after graduated from California State University with BSEE degree (Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering).
